Time: 12:00pm-1:00pm AEST

Area wide management strategies for vector-borne diseases will help to prevent or minimise the development of insecticide resistance in vector populations, improve the efficiency of biological agents released for control of vectors, and better protect host resistance genes against the emergence of resistance-breaking strains of the viruses. It also provides management options when host resistance genes are not available.

Hear from industry-leading researchers about the key findings and area wide management strategies of insect-vectored viral and bacterial diseases, including the Queensland Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Victoria, NSW Department of Primary Industries, WA Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, University of Tasmania, and the NT. A session not to be missed!
