Now in the third year of trials, the benefit of variable rate lime and fertiliser application is starting to pay big dividends at our Koo Wee Rup demonstration site in Victoria. The team was busy this week adapting the gridded soil sampling results from September to inform the nutrition program and variable rate spreader.
A snapshot of the results for pH and potassium are provided in Figure 1 and 2 below. This shows an improvement in uniformity and balance from 2018-2020.
